You're My Candy Girl

I promised you guys a HUMUNGO (huuuuge) post yesterday, and here it is!! Prior to writing this (while I was doing my chores) I was listening to the 60's Classical  on Pandora and it's got me in this very happy jump-y mood.

So I was investigating Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 Runway and I love it (don't think I'm saying this because I'm afraid that he will come beat me up. I really mean it)!

One thing that I loved was all the black and white. I called this happening and I actually had a disagreement with my fashion teacher because she said it most definitely wasn't going to be black and white (I was right)! I really do appreciate the black and white. I feel like spring is getting predictable. It's always "spring colors" during spring, and I really love the change.

The whole show was based on lines and flow-yness. There were a lot of lines. I love lines. There are so many illusions that go on with lines! If I could change one thing, it would probably be the random colors he added in. There are just splotches of a tan and red. I found it really confusing because they would randomly come in and then it would go straight back to black and white. I think that he should of stayed with the black and white, or picked one other color to pop in there.

As you can see, there is still a pinch of mixing patterns in the second picture. I love that outfit

I really enjoyed the frills. They made the show a lot of fun and it wasn't as serious.

This is my favorite outfit of the collection. I adore how big and obnoxious this bib, I guess you can call it, is. I would wear this in a heartbeat!

He played up the collars of many outfits and I like that too.

I think what I like most about this collection is that it is wearable. Don't get me wrong, I would probably wear a couple of select items in the costume collections as well.

Now, I have somewhat contradicted myself. I was complaining just a second ago about spring colors, when in fact, I am wearing tons of flowers and "spring-y colors" today. Oops. Bad timing, hahaa.

Yes, my sweatshirt does say "I Like Cats" and I love it.

I made this headband last night. IT'S HUGE!!

I was made fun of like no other today. People called me an idiot and said I looked absolutely ridiculous. I actually took it off and left it in my car. After second block I ran out and got it to put it back on. I love it and I couldn't stand not wearing it. They again made fun of me and I just gave it right back to them. They said "You look like a princess. You should take that off. It's absolutely ugly!" All I said back was thank you. They kind of let it go when they didn't get a rise out of me. I got a ton of stairs though. Which is okay. Unfortunately, and fortunately, that is what happens when you dress 'crazy'. I'm guessing that is how it is in many peoples eyes.

My teacher told me that I can't let people stop me from what I want to do. He lifted my spirits and actually made my day a lot brighter. It does start to get to you after a while people saying mean things to you. It's just important not to show them that it does. I'm still learning to not let people do this to me. As you heard, it occasionally still does, but I'm getting a lot closer to it not bothering me. Eeck, no more gooey gooey.

I think you guys will appreciate this YouTube video. I thought it was hilarious, but I have a young since of humor. You might think a 10 year old would think this is funny...

Susie is Channing Tatum and he actually looks like a girl to me. It's hilarious!!

I made another collar and it's adorable. My parents are wanting me to sell them.. I don't know what do you think?

Ew, see ya later homies!

Fancy Shmancy

Jeeeeeez! School is KILLING me again. I like going, which is odd, my classes are getting really stressful. Today we had a debate in my history class that was blow WAY out of proportion and lasted for a full hour! In my fashion class... Well there always seems to be something wrong with some minor thing that I have to go back and fix. I guess it's okay because I'm learning all the little kinks, but JEEEZ. I need a breather.

Exciting news.. I turned in my skirt that I made in my fashion class and got a 94%!!! Woohoo! My new camera also came in the mail! I have yet to try it out.

This post is going to be short and to the point because of all the projects I need to finish. I will make it up to you guys, I promise. Tomorrow will be a jumbo giant post!

The fitty fit fit.. Believe it or not, this collar I'm wearing, I made it (yeah, I made it)! I'm so proud of myself.

This is my precious, Murphy. He rode with me to go pick my sis up.
I was feeling like Spring today. I can't wait for it!
Haha my Mom took this before school. My friend taught me this face.
It's called Cat Face.

 My beloved, Dr. Martens!
I got these from my vase of fake flowers in my room.
It definitely went with the Spring theme.

Yes, I made this. When I was thinking about what I was going to wear
I thought my outfit needed a collar and I didn't own one. So, I popped
this baby out!

Jeans, PacSun; Sweater, Mom's; Dr. Marten's, UrbanOutfitters

I wish this post could be longer. I really enjoy writing to you guys. I gots lots of stuffy stuff to get to.

Chip Chip Cherrio.. I think that's how it goes anyway.

YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT?!?!!??!?!!

Alright-y, today I want to talk about patterns. We all know (I would hope we all know(Just kidding, it's okay)) that head-to-toe busy patterns and mixing different patterns were a BIG thing just a couple months ago. I never got to share with you guys my opinion on that. I was putting together an outfit yesterday that made me think of that.

Both of these are images from Prada's 2012 Fall Runway. I really love the colors because I feel that they add variety and a lot of fun to the world. If I saw one of these outfits on the street I would be very happy and I would probably have a much better day (clothes do that to me, don't judge). I love love love this collection I think it is amazing. If I could change one thing it would probably be the shoes in the first image. I think that the outfit would look a lot better and not as dizzy if they were a solid shoe.

Now, mixing patterns is a whole other story...

If it was me, I would be very careful when mixing patterns and really think about how they look together. Personally, I think when you do mix there needs to be one main pattern that is the "eye catcher". The other pattern needs to complement the eye catcher. I also think that when you have one busy busy pattern the other needs to be subtle. Example: Say you have a very big floral pattern with many color crammed into on a skirt. The shirt I would match with it would be a black and white horizontal skinny striped shirt.

I guess what I am trying to put into words is do the opposite of the main pattern, I guess? I hope you are following me hahaa.

To the YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT?!?!!??!?!!

My absolute favorite movies are the teen 80's movies. If you haven't seen Pretty in Pink, 16 Candles, Breakfast Club, or The Heather's you need need NEED to watch them!! They will probably be the best things you have ever seen if I do say so myself. They have great story lines and awesome fashion!

If you have Netflix, I know you can stream and order them in.

The first two are from Pretty in Pink. She makes
her own clothes in the movie!!

The last two are from 16 Candles.

You guys are probably all like "What about Heather's?!?" and going all crazy. I getting to it! This on is special because the girl who plays the main character, Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder), is my fashion icon! She is super cool and odd.

She is so pretty! There aren't any good pictures of what she is wearing and they are really hard to get from the movie also. They show the whole outfit for a split second then move on. Oh well. I love the 80's and I adore the way she was dressed in this movie. Shoulder Pads!

My outfit today is very 'all over the place'. There isn't one two items that really "go together", but they work well together.

The foxes are an orange color with my red corduroy pants. I have on a peacock blue long sleeve with a random purple bow. My glasses were my Mom's when she was in high school. Nothing in this outfit matches at all, but they work well together. All the colors are the same intensities and I think that is what is making this work. The bow was added later in the day during my fashion class. It is a scrap from a friends fabric.

Every morning before I walk into my first class, there are these boys who always make fun of me for my outfits and the girls always give me the evil glare. I choose to ignore them. Actually, when they do that it gives me more confidence that I look good.

Just thought I would share that with you guys. People are mean and rude, but if you like what you are wearing and you think that you look great, odds are you do and they are jealous!

Under shirt, Forever 21; Tank, UrbanOutfitters; Pants, friend; Shoes, UrbanOutfitters; Ring, Mom's.

Thank you for making it this far! The day is done! See ya on the flip side!

Someday

Someday is a song by Hundred Little Reasons and I absolutely LOVE it! It is such a cool song just just listen to and chill-ax.

This song just makes me smile and get happy. It has a very up-beat beat to it hahaa.

Well the camera didn't come in today. Hopefully it is here tomorrow. I sincerely you have to suffer looking at these photos that have the worst quality in the world. On the bright side, I think I finally figured out out to make the pictures bigger. I'm now done with this stuffy stuff.

It was freezing outside today. I think this was the coldest I have ever been outside in my entire life! I was feeling extremely retro today (as usual) and wanting to feel very comfortable (not so usual). It's not that I don't want to feel comfortable (because that would be odd) I just put up with a lot more than most people probably would. Example: Most people wouldn't wear a shoe that's uncomfortable because this world is all about being COMFORTABLE and they end up dressing like slobs honestly. If I like the shoe and want to wear it I will put up with the uncomfortableness of it.

My shoes were very comfortable today though. I an being comfortable by wearing my favorite black jeans and my leather jacket.

At first I was going to wear my 80's jean jacket, but I felt that it clashed with my shoes. AND I WASN'T CHANGING MY SHOES!!

Okay, I know I look really dorky, but just ignore my face..
and my head. JUST LOOK AT THE OUTFIT!

And I say again, I KNOW I LOOK LIKE A DORK!
I was in the middle of blinking during this, but it was
the one picture that wasn't blurry.

Horrible camera quality. I just love those little bows!

My adorable (if I do say so myself) kitten Mary Jane shoes!

I made this bow myself with a piece of my, falling apart, pillow.

Jeans, PacSun; Shirt, Forever 21; Jacket; Forever 21; Shoes, UrbanOutfitters

I do hope you enjoyed everything. I do understand that this outfit isn't as exciting and "cool" as the others...

Have a great day!

6" Under and Busy Busy Busy!!

I didn't get to post on Friday :( I had a VERY busy couple days and I am going to let you guys in on what is going on!!

So, in my last post it just started snowing and it piled up incredibly fast! =/////////* <- kitty did that hahaha. Anyway, about two hours after it started snowing we had about five or six inches. It was insane!

I know it's really hard to see, but we got a lot.

This morning it started snowing again. It is so pretty outside! I love it!!

Thursday was extREMely exciting. I had my first art opening. I chose a painting I did last semester in my Art Foundations class. It is a picture that my sister took of me in front of a really old rusted over bus that was super cool! I love this piece.

This is me and the painting to the left (obviously)

OOOO(m"oo") some other exciting news, I ordered a new camera and it should be here sometime between tomorrow and Wednesday! NO MORE TINY PICTURES! I knew you guys would be excited :$!

Well, yesterday was my best friends weekend surprise and it got cancelled :(( I was going to take her to Kansas City to see Rocky Horror Picture Show and they pulled the show right when I was going to buy the tickets. I was so bummed out! I got her the record and told her that we would go the next time they are playing. For those of you that have not seen it, or haven't even heard of it, I suggested you see the play, but if you can't watch the movie. It's a classic and AMAZING!
It's so PIXELATED!!

I apologize that today isn't an outfit post sadly. I didn't even get dressed this whole weekend hahaa. Just lounged around.

I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a fabulous week!

Fat hairless kitty!!

My kitten, Lucy, she wrote something special for you earlier ^^
