So I was investigating Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 Runway and I love it (don't think I'm saying this because I'm afraid that he will come beat me up. I really mean it)!
One thing that I loved was all the black and white. I called this happening and I actually had a disagreement with my fashion teacher because she said it most definitely wasn't going to be black and white (I was right)! I really do appreciate the black and white. I feel like spring is getting predictable. It's always "spring colors" during spring, and I really love the change.
The whole show was based on lines and flow-yness. There were a lot of lines. I love lines. There are so many illusions that go on with lines! If I could change one thing, it would probably be the random colors he added in. There are just splotches of a tan and red. I found it really confusing because they would randomly come in and then it would go straight back to black and white. I think that he should of stayed with the black and white, or picked one other color to pop in there.
As you can see, there is still a pinch of mixing patterns in the second picture. I love that outfit.
I really enjoyed the frills. They made the show a lot of fun and it wasn't as serious.
This is my favorite outfit of the collection. I adore how big and obnoxious this bib, I guess you can call it, is. I would wear this in a heartbeat!
He played up the collars of many outfits and I like that too.
I think what I like most about this collection is that it is wearable. Don't get me wrong, I would probably wear a couple of select items in the costume collections as well.
Now, I have somewhat contradicted myself. I was complaining just a second ago about spring colors, when in fact, I am wearing tons of flowers and "spring-y colors" today. Oops. Bad timing, hahaa.
Yes, my sweatshirt does say "I Like Cats" and I love it.
I made this headband last night. IT'S HUGE!!
I was made fun of like no other today. People called me an idiot and said I looked absolutely ridiculous. I actually took it off and left it in my car. After second block I ran out and got it to put it back on. I love it and I couldn't stand not wearing it. They again made fun of me and I just gave it right back to them. They said "You look like a princess. You should take that off. It's absolutely ugly!" All I said back was thank you. They kind of let it go when they didn't get a rise out of me. I got a ton of stairs though. Which is okay. Unfortunately, and fortunately, that is what happens when you dress 'crazy'. I'm guessing that is how it is in many peoples eyes.
My teacher told me that I can't let people stop me from what I want to do. He lifted my spirits and actually made my day a lot brighter. It does start to get to you after a while people saying mean things to you. It's just important not to show them that it does. I'm still learning to not let people do this to me. As you heard, it occasionally still does, but I'm getting a lot closer to it not bothering me. Eeck, no more gooey gooey.
I think you guys will appreciate this YouTube video. I thought it was hilarious, but I have a young since of humor. You might think a 10 year old would think this is funny...
Susie is Channing Tatum and he actually looks like a girl to me. It's hilarious!!
I made another collar and it's adorable. My parents are wanting me to sell them.. I don't know what do you think?
Ew, see ya later homies!
