It's Been a While...

Ugh! I can now finally take a breath! School has been suffocating and sucking all the energy I humanly contain. It’s the end of the quarter so the teachers are on our asses 24/7 reminding us to make sure we have all of our work in “because grades are important”! It got so bad that all they would say was “Get your work in” it got to the point where they were calling us in the middle of the night (just kidding)! Haha no it would be frightening if that really happened. Anyway.. IT’S FINALLY SPRING BREAK!! I now have time to sit down and write and get you guys all caught up.
Besides all the teachers getting creepy (not really)... there are some things that are making me get up in the morning actually making me want to go to school (insane I know)! In my sculpture class we have a guest artist that is helping us to make a mosaic for the school. It’s really cool working with her and learning all the techniques and such. I LEARNED HOW TO CUT TILES! Now, what is really making me want to get up in the morning is my fashion and design class. I’ve always wanted to make my own clothes because everything I saw in my head that I wanted to wear isn’t sold in stores. I have been drawing my own clothes since about 3rd grade and I tried making them come to life in 4th grade (that didn’t turn out so well..haha). But after that I never tried again. I made my first (successful, I might add) piece of clothing and I am very proud of myself. I made a pair of flannel plaid shorts that are really cute and super comfortable.

ENOUGH ABOUT SCHOOL ALREADY! I’m out of that prison for a week, so lets stop talking about it. In my last post, (When was that?!?!!), I know it’s been a looooong time, I was on a big eighties kick. I have been getting the feeling that it is here to stay for the time being. Most likely not religiously eighties, but definitely vintage clothing. I’m not sure why, but I am beginning to be really drawn to hideously-ugly things (that would be hideous and ugly to most, I think they are super cool)! So... What I am wearing...

I went to St. Louis, Missouri for a couple days to hang out with the family. It was really fun! We drove around and saw all the architecture and went to a couple vintage stores. They have a lot of really unique items, I didn't want to leave! I also went to the art museum. That was SUPER AWESOME!

I know there isn't a great picture of what I'm wearing... I have on m Dr. Martens, that are a deep red color that you will come to see a lot of, black jeans (PacSun), a black sparkly shirt (Forever21), and a mans suit that a friend dazzled up and put buttons all over the collar, and a peacock blue bow that I made from fabric lying around the house that I stuck a bobby-pin in. My apologies for the run-on sentence there.

XO
New Girl
